Dhule


Dhule District is located in the Indian state of Maharashtra . Lying on the northern tip of Maharashtra, Dhule District covers a total area of about 8061 square kilometers. Dhule city is the administrative headquarter of the district. Dhule District Map gives the tourists a clear idea about the prime locations of the district.

Dhule District is situated between 20 38' and 21 61' N latitude and between 73 50' to 75 11' East longitude. The district shares its borders with Nandurbar district lying in the north-east, Nashik in the south and Jalgoan district lies to the east of Dhule District.

The district of Dhule has one prime river basin- the Tapi Basin. Satpuda Hill range lies in the northern part of the district. There are several tourist places in this district which are worth paying a visit. Some of them include:

  • Prakashe
  • Sarangkheda
  • Laling Fort
  • Anerdam
  • Toranmal

There are 2 sub-divisions as well as 4 talukas in Dhule district. Dhule and Sakri talukas are also included in the Dhule sub-division. The city of Dhule is the sole Lok Sabha constituency of the Dhule district. Dhule district also has 5 Vidhan Sabha constituencies namely:

  • Sakri (ST)
  • Shirpur
  • Kusumba
  • Dhule
  • Sindkheda


Getting to Dhule:

The city of Dhule is situated at a distance of about 340 kilometers from Mumbai. Pune lies at a distance of approximately 350 kilometers. There are 3 major National Highways passing through the Dhule district. They are NH-6, NH-3 and NH-211.
